Maya Lindgren

Hi. I work as a backend engineer at a small mapping company. Before that I spent four years on a research team at NTNU building tools for ocean-current models — that's where I learned to like Postgres and dislike most JavaScript build steps. Outside of work I read more than I write, walk a lot, and host a once-a-month dinner for friends who don't enjoy cooking.

I started this blog because two of my colleagues kept asking for my opinion on the same engineering questions and it seemed kinder to write the answers down once. The first post went up in late 2024 and I've kept a roughly monthly cadence since.
